| Stengel Enterprises, Inc. Sub-Surface Monitor Workstations provide the option of computer-based training (CBT) instruction and access to electronic data while maintaining a clear worksurface for traditional classroom functions and an open line of sight between student and instructor. |
| You can integrate computers into a multi-use classroom without sacrificing the traditional utility of the learning environment. By mounting the monitor under a glass window beneath the desk top, locating the CPU in its own bay beneath the worksurface and providing a pull-out platform for the keyboard and mouse, access to a computer is maintained and a full work area is still available for other activities. |
| Sub-surface CRT workstations offers a distinct advantage over other configurations for certain specific applications and circumstances. Mainly, this workstation allows students the opportunity to do research and writing without having to move to a computer lab. |

The fully encased computer is less susceptible to damage, theft or abuse. All cables are concealed and conveniently routed through horizontal and vertical channels within the desk. The configuration provides an ideal testing environment. With the CRT screen set at the correct depth and angle, total privacy is possible without walls and only a few feet of separation between students. Angle connectors and extended top sizes are available to allow a variety of connected configurations (use our Classroom Design Questionnaire for room layouts and cost). |
|
Several models for younger students may be specified with keyboards and mice on the desktop (without pullout platforms) to reduce floor space requirements and mechanical components; offering even greater economy and durability. Three heights are available for grades K - adult in single and double station configurations. | |
|
For increased leg-room and/or reduced station width, narrower CPU bays may be requested for "thin client" and "small-form" cases or the CPU/storage bays may be eliminated if you are using "all-in-one" computers like Apple's eMAC®. Stengel Enterprises, Inc. exclusive Convertible CPU Bays accommodate tower or desktop cases optimizing room on the desktop for books and paperwork. Standard tower and convertible bays may be specified with optional rear access panels or locking hinged doors to facilitate access to rear of CPU cases. Additional CPU bay options including adjustable storage shelves and pull-out shelves, utility drawers, writing tablet surfaces and more.
