Semi-Recessed Monitor Desks
Stengel Enterprises, Inc. SR Series Computer Workstations accommodate up to 21" CRT monitors and position the screen at the ergonomically correct height, angle and distance for all types of Computer-Based Training (CBT).
Position the CRT monitor within the student's field-of-view, just below the horizon line, and the screen becomes the focus of activity without obstructing instruction or visual presentations.

Students not only get a better view, but it is easier for the teacher to keep them engaged because eye-to-eye visual contact is never broken.
The "Heads Up" concept has been used for years to allow fighter pilots to keep their concentration focused. Now you can add this ergonomic solution to your classroom environment in a neat package at an economic cost.

Stengel Enterprises Semi-Recessed CRTs are ideal for independent CBT. Because the monitor is also in the visual plane of the worksurface, students are comfortable in any position - making long sessions, shared computers and tutoring easier and noticeably boosting visual perception and the level of concentration.

Stengel Enterprises, Inc SR Series Desks provide plenty of legroom and 28"e; wide pull-out keyboard/mouse platforms supported by full-extension ball-bearing slides.

Our workstations conceal and protect cables from monitor to CPU and from desk to desk to wall or floor with a full-height modesty panel (vented at top and bottom) supporting a wiring channel and optional power strip, and full-depth side panels with access grommets.


Angle connectors and extended top sizes are available to allow a variety of connected configurations (use our Classroom Design Questionnaire for room layouts and cost).

Several models for younger students may be specified with keyboards and mice on the desktop (without pullout platforms) to reduce floor space requirements and mechanical components; offering even greater economy and durability. Three heights are available for grades K - adult in single, double and triple station configurations (go to Custom Products Request).


For increased leg-room and/or reduced station width, narrower CPU bays may be requested for "thin client" and "small-form" cases or the CPU/storage bays may be eliminated if you are using "all-in-one" computers like Apple's eMAC®.

Our exclusive Convertible CPU Bays accommodate tower or desktop cases optimizing room on the desktop for books and paperwork. Standard tower and convertible bays may be specified with optional rear access panels or locking hinged doors to facilitate access to rear of CPU cases.
